Demo: Abstract Non-objective Mixed Media Painting on Canvas and Paper

by Gerry Willging

Sunday April 9th from 1-3 PM North Hampton artist Gerry Willging will be offering a demo in the SAA gallery on “Abstract Non-objective Mixed Media Painting on Canvas and Paper”. During this demonstration Gerry will show and explain her process of how to start an abstract painting with mixed media, including watercolor, collage, and acrylic, using the principals of design, composition, and values, which is one of the most important elements to hold a painting together.

Gerry will have examples of starts, middle, and finished paintings, explaining her layering process. She will also discuss juried shows and have a question and answer period. Visit her website at www.gerrywillgingdesigns.net. Gerry will begin offering classes.

2nd Sunday demos are offered free to SAA members. Donations from non-members are encouraged to aid our scholarship fund.
