Fin d”Orage Tropical by Laurie Levesque
Forecast says the skies may open up a bit on Friday, but we’ll take that as tears of joy over the arrival of Spring!
Hope you can join us and dance in the rain at the Artists’ Reception for the “Sky Images Theme Show Challenge” on Friday May 5th from 4 – 7 PM.
Congratulations goes to Laurie Levesque for being aware ‘Best of Show’ for her pastel, “Fin d”Orage Tropical”. Nicely done!
Now it’s up to you to decide who wins ‘People’s Choice’
Best of Show goes to “Sweet Sheep”, mixed media by Natalie Rotman Cote
Perhaps January is just about all the winter white you can take. Here’s your chance to make Old Man Winter do a little dance and show him your true colors. Visit the SAA Gallery in Exeter to view our local artists’ works in the Wild with Color theme show now January 29-February 24. We are holding a public reception for this lively exhibit Friday February 3rd from 4-7 PM.
People’s Choice to Julia Dugas for multi-media piece “Whiteness of a Different Color”
“Beachfront Berries” by Bill Moore (L) and “Through Space and Time” by Cheri Christenson
Yet another show that has exceeded expectations! “The Eye of the Beholder” boasts 35 pieces from painters and photographers who accepted this challenge and worked together to produce two interpretations of the same subject. (the odd number is the result of a fabulous three generation collaboration!) This was another extremely hard to judge show but chosen as “Best of Show” are Cheri Christenson and her watercolor “Through Space and Time” interpretation of Bill Moore’s photograph, “Beachfront Berries”. Congratulations!
The reception for this show is Friday May 6th from 4-7, which is also the kick-off to the summer’s First Friday Events in Exeter, so you will want to be in town for this. Hope to see you there.
