Lorraine was born in 1957 and grew up in Boston, MA. Since the age of 30 she’s been living in a small New Hampshire town. She has always had her hand in some form of art. She started drawing and painting as a young child. She received a Second Place Award in the entire Archdiocese of Boston Art Contest at the age of seven for her drawing of “Sermon On The Mount”. She has taken several instructional painting courses over the years, but she is mostly self-taught. In 2005 she was introduced to watercolors, where she found her passion. Since then, a day hasn’t passed that she hasn’t either painted or drawn. She is currently a member of the Newburyport Art Association in Newburyport, MA, the Seacoast Art Association in Exeter, NH, and the Concord Center for the Visual Arts in Concord, MA, where her paintings are shown throughout the year. Her works are also shown in various other art shows. Her watercolor “Fishing Shanty I, Rockport, MA” won First Place Award in Watercolors in the fall of 2018 at the Newburyport Art Association.
