Joanne Ravgiala

I have been painting and drawing since I can remember. There are family stories of me creatively enhancing the new wallpaper with crayons and stickers. Now, I am primarily a plein air painter. I love trying to capture sights, sounds and sense of story in a location. Painting and drawing the beauty of the human figure is a fascinating challenge for me.

I enjoy the magical transparency and fresh immediate quality of watercolor painting and the tactile sensory quality of oils and acrylic painting. I particularly cherish the mutual support and encouragement I share with so many of my artist colleagues.
