Motif #1 in Rockport, MA is one of the most photographed and painted buildings in the country. I love these seaside shacks and work buildings, especially those with their colorful buoys and/or signs of weathering and age. This building is well maintained, of course, but interesting nonetheless for its spectacular location and those lobster buoys! I’ve seen very few paintings (maybe none) of The Motif from any angle other than straight-on. So here’s another, and I think more interesting, view.
