I’ve always loved lighthouses and the Portsmouth light is a fine example of the New England lights that have guided ships into ports and away from hazards for centuries. Portsmouth light continues to welcome ships and boaters as they pass historic Fort Constitution at the mouth of the Piscataqua River in New Castle. This painting is one of a series of four that also includes Portland Head Light in Maine, Eastern Point Light (Gloucester MA), and the iconic Nubble Light – all available at the SAA Gallery.
