NH Open Doors Weekend at the Seacoast Artist Association Gallery and Shop

Saturday Nov. 3rd 10-5 and Sunday Nov. 4th 10- 4

Not only will our gallery walls be bursting with the beautiful art created by our local artists, the Shop artisans will be offering a wide variety of new, hand made gift able items, The Featured Artist wall will display the bold oil paintings of Bob Richardson and Debra Woodward, the ‘Big Gifts in Small packages” show features small affordable original pieces by even more local artists, and in the Historic Exeter Town Hall Gallery adjacent to ours will be our Annual Members Awards Show showcasing the best of all our members!

All of that just covers our shows. To add to the excitement in the SAA Gallery, on Saturday from 10 – 1 long time member and award-winning artist, Annick Bouvron Gromek will be offering a Multiplate Pochoirs Monotype Demo. Using Mother Nature for stencils (pochoirs) and Yupo paper for plates, the results are stunning and magical.

Following this from 2-4 Denise Brown, author, illustrator and painter, will be holding a demo on watercolor painting, with lighthouses as a focus.

In the adjacent Town Hall Gallery from 12-4, multi-talented water-colorist and fabric artist, Gerry Bresnahan, will offer a demo on turning silk into works of art to hang on the wall, wear as a scarf, or decorate with as pillows, through her use of vibrant colors and fabric paints.

Sunday, it’s hands-on fun time in the SAA Gallery from 11-3. Water-colorist and all around crafty person, Mary Jane Solomon, will show how to turn pressed leaves into fabulous miniature artworks, using paints and markers on a leaf canvas.

You will also be treated to yummy snacks and beverages to keep you going through both days of artistic journeys and adventures.
