  • SAA theme show Along the Coast is on display the month of August – opening reception is August 5th 4-7 PM. Congratulations to Laura King, a new SAA member from North Hampton, who was awarded ‘Best of Show’ for her oil painting, “Morning Mist”.
  • The Featured Artist is Dave Thompsen – his show “H2O” is on exhibit August & September – opening reception is August 5th 4-7 PM.
  • Mystery Kits are selling out fast! Stop by the gallery to buy your kit for the October theme show. Participants can attend our demo on how to use the kit August 14th 2:00 PM.
  • Art classes in pastel, drawing, and watercolor – see our Class and Workshop schedule.

28th Annual Scholarship Awards

The Seacoast Artist Association celebrated it’s 28th year awarding students scholarships to financially assist those talented student artists who are planning to continue their education in the area of the visual arts.

This year, there were 18 submissions from local high schools and these were judged by Bill Childs, Barbara Cowan and Pat Corbin. Judging was difficult and close and six students tied for three top awards.

This demonstration on Sunday May 8th, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the SAA Gallery will show how to print a monotype on Silk. Taught by SAA member Annick Bouvron-Gromek, this is followed by a workshop on Saturday May 14th from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM – cost for workshop is $75. Due to space restriction we can only have 4 attendees for the hands-on workshop – if interested, please email Annick at

New Gallery Opening!

gallery01The Seacoast Artist Association is thrilled to have relocated to 130 Water Street in Exeter, and full of gratitude for the outpouring of support from our members and community members allowing this to become a reality. Thank you!

The Grand Opening Celebration was a well-attended event held Saturday April 9th where everyone enjoyed a visual treat of the new works on display, a chance to meet the artists, and light refreshments. One lucky patron won the raffle prize – a beautiful monotype triptych created by Annick Bouvron-Gromek.
