Charlene Yelle – Wonders of Nature
Nature has always been my inspiration. Nature reminds me that there are things much greater than the affairs of humans. When we are unbalanced or if life is unsettled around us, we can do no better for ourselves than to seek out the embrace of Nature. It is my hope through my photography, that you will experience a “childlike surprise” and delight in the animals and nature around us.
My photography mentor Mehmet “Oktay” Kaya is a professional wildlife/nature photographer. We met on the beach and have been friends ever since that day. Oktay has taught me how to use my camera on manual settings only, to achieve different effects without the use of computer enhancements. He also has taught me the importance of respecting nature and wildlife always. We have been working together now for 12 years and I still have a lot more to learn. Currently I am working on learning macro photography.
I have also completed a 5 year apprenticeship with Master Hand Engraver Frank Kulik, the Engraver for Lady Dianna’s baby cups and for the silver tray given to Pope Benedict XVI when he visited the USA in 2008. Working as a hand engraver and silver chaser for more than 30 years, I am now merging my hobby as a Photographer with my passion for design into my line of clothing, accessories and jewelry.
Certain things catch your eye, but I try to pursue only those that capture the heart. Break the rules, stand apart, ignore your head, follow your heart.

Jane Davis Copp – Fall into Winter
I love the monochromatic palette that winter presents us with…the simple elegance of the limited colors. I grew up in Hanover NH, and skiing was my major sport for my entire childhood, so there must be some connection I feel for winter images. Spent so much time out on the slopes and winter was a long season in Hanover…you had to embrace it.
Art works have always held a certain fascination for me, beginning as a child walking through museums here and in Europe, as a college student wrestling with the challenges of art instruction and again as a teacher watching my students create. The process of art creation and the physical reminder of the beauty of our natural world motivate my interest in painting. My goals are to capture a visual segment of time where color, form, light and shadow provide aesthetic consideration and perhaps emotional content.
Primarily a painter of boats, landscapes, and flowers, Jane works in both acrylic and oil paints, capturing the shapes, compositions and light that define her visions. She has a degree in art education from the University of New Hampshire and is the author of Visual Arts for Middle Schools which highlights student work from her career as a NH art educator. She is a juried member of the NH Art Association and maintains a studio in North Hampton, NH. See more at her website janedaviscopp.com
